In collaboration with Dubai Health Authority
aswaaq launches ‘Green Heart’ campaign to spread benefits of quitting smoking
Dubai, UAE: 02 June 2015:
Intensifying efforts to encourage smokers to switch to a healthier lifestyle, aswaaq has collaborated with Dubai Health Authority and Bin Sina Pharmacy to launch the Green Heart campaign, which will run until June 3rd
to mark the World No Tobacco Day.
Hind Al Falasi, Brand & Communications Manager at aswaaq elaborated: “Having a healthy business is only part of the story; we are inspiring a healthier community and a healthier city. The sooner smokers quit and switch to a healthier lifestyle, the sooner they can start enjoying the health benefits, while also benefiting their loved ones around them. This is the main message of our campaign, working in sync with Dubai Health Authority and Bin Sina Pharmacy.”
Al Falasi also explained that this collaboration will create great platforms to raise awareness in aswaaq community malls in Um Suqaim, Al Warqaa, Al Mizhar and Al Badaa, where awareness teams are spreading the word about the dangers of smoking.
aswaaq will also organize a smart tablet survey to show smokers in a powerful and unique way how smoking affects their lives. The survey is conducted in the presence of a health specialist from DHA, who explains how quitting smoking early will have a tremendous impact on their health.
Dr Sawsan Al Mulla, dermatology specialist at Dubai Health Authority, also participated by giving a lecture to aswaaq employees, addressing the risks of smoking and the best ways to quit.
Al Falasi added: “As part of our corporate social responsibility, aswaaq is dedicating itself to support activities that promote positive values and uplift our community’s well-being.”
Since its inception in 2008, aswaaq has refused to sell cigarettes at any of its outlets.
